November at the French Needle
Hello all and thank you to those who came to visit me at the Valley Forge and Louisville shows! It was great fun to get out and actually meet my customers and see some beautiful finished pieces as well as wonderful products from the other vendors.
I am home for two weeks and off to Paris again…shows, suppliers, friends, and family…I better take my running shoes! Orders will be sent but just a bit slower than usual during my absence.
I am ready to go with some new items for November including:
A fabulous book from Japan called Wildflower Garden. Yes it is Japanese, but I first saw it in Paris and thought it was so special I tracked it down! It actually has more of a Danish than French feel, but it is really, really lovely.
I get so many request for magazines, I have gotten a large number of a great Mains et Merveilles issue #66. As to be expected, the text is in French, but there are so many wonderful graphs one hardly notices the text! Let me know if this is something you want more of…..
Snowflakes is a wonderful new chart from Rouge du Rhin and Bleu de Chine has another new gem called Winter 2008.
I have a new shipment from my little scissor man. Admittedly he has a hard time keeping up with my scissor collecting customers! I have noted where there are waiting lists. In the meantime he has sent three new little pretties:
A filigree #7 which comes in gold or silver finish, a stunning pair called marguerites (daisies) and a pair called The Fox and the Grapes from
the Aesop’s Fable of the same name. I wish I could convey the beauty and delicacy of these pieces in the photos.
I look forward to hearing from you and as always I will be on email daily!
Amicalement,
Lisa
